Layers Of Fear: Legacy is out for the Switch, and you can check it out in Boston for Pax east this year. If you aren't in Boston right now, that's ok; you can still get this creepy, cerebral chiller for $16.99 at the Nintendo store until the 22nd of April.
A psychedelic horror title that follows an artist's descent into madness, Layers Of Fear: Legacy is heavy on atmosphere, placing you in a shut-in's home where every time you change the camera perspective, things change and a new horror might be waiting to greet you. You follow the dark story of a painter who is consumed by madness, striving to create his Magnum Opus, the finest painting he has ever created. You'll gather together the carefully crafted personal items that are strewn throughout the game, trying to figure out what terrible tragedy occurred in the painters past, while traversing the vision-induced, constantly changing house full of supernatural phenomena, where each move of the camera can shift the environment, until you discover the true past and motives of the artist.
Check out the trailer below, or head to Boston. Pax East is pretty fun, after all.
