There is something wrong with the case that you are working on. You're realizing this isn’t a normal job that you've undertaken, and it's lead you to this strange place. What is lurking in the shadows? What creeping horror waits to snatch your life away? In fact, where the hell even are you, anyways?

Enter the terrifying world of Call of Cthulhu, the newest horror title from Focus Interactive. Based on the pen and paper game of the same name, you assume the role of Edward Pierce, a man hired to find out what happened to a talented artist on Darkwater Island.  When you arrive, things seem normal on the surface, but once you begin exploring the island, you being to find mysteries around every corner, and things that begin to scratch away at your sanity. The more you explore, you more your mental unease deepens, to the point of developing phobias and tics. Madness lurks in the wings for those who are pushed too far, and although your mind is beginning to bend, it is still intact. If it breaks, you will surely be lost.

This game looks to be different than other horror titles you've played, and you'll have little to combat the new terrors that await you; you only have access to a single gun, and there are only a handful of bullets scattered around the island. You'll have to make every shot count, while battling the increasing mental assault on your mind by the things you encounter. Even hiding in a closet, or tight alley, scrunched into a ball as you await the creeping creatures to pass you by might give you a fear of closed in spaces. Much like Eternal Darkness, Call of Cthulhu is pleased to assault your physical, but the real danger is in your mind.

Check out the cinematic trailer below, and see what you think, Call of Cthulhu will release sometime later this year.
