With Mega Man's 30th anniversary coming, Capcom has decided that in lieu of a new Mega Man title, they'll give you an old Mega Man game on a dead platform. Thanks Capcom!
Joking aside, these are pretty cool, and unlike the Street Fighter II 30th Anniversary cartridge, there's no warning on the box saying the cartridge might cause your SNES to catch fire. Bonus!
Iam8bit just announced that they are releasing two limited-edition retro Mega Man titles for the Blue Bomber's 30th anniversary, and they are arguably his two most influential adventures: Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X. If you are hoping to get your hands on one, you'll have to move fast, since the Mega Man 2 NES cartridge is a pretty limited run, with only 8,500 copies available in two versions: 7,500 of them will be an opaque, light blue, while the other 1,000 are glow in the dark blue. You won't be able to choose which you get, so you'll just have to order one and hope you get the one you wanted (or one at all).
The Mega Man X SNES cartridges are similar in terms of release; only 8,500 are being made, and of those 8,500, 7,500 will be opaque white and the other 1,00 are going to be the same glow in the dark blue, and once again you can't choose which one you get, so it's luck of the draw.
These look pretty rad, but are they worth the dough? $100 bucks for an old school (albeit amazing) game? Would you pay it? Let me know in the comments.
I would love have it and use un my.. 20 years old SNES.
But... lol $100!!!
I prefer buy a tablet or.. new computer parts?
