In some pretty cool gaming news, Thanos is available for a limited time in Fortnite, complete with the Infinity Gauntlet, and you know damn well that thing is jam-packed with Infinity Stones. Comically, he'd only been available a short time before they had to dial down his powers, dropping his shield cap, decreasing his laser damage and dialing up his health a little bit. The Avengers totally should have just done that.
If you'd like to give Thanos a try, it's easy to do: at the start of a mashup match, a meteor will crash down carrying the Infinity Gauntlet, and any player that finds and dons the gauntlet becomes Thanos. If no one grabs it, it will teleport out, and then you have to wait for another meteor to land for your next chance. Once you become Thanos, you'll need to start killing everyone in sight, because that is how the mad Titan rolls. Don't embarrass him. Thanos has four abilities, and has shields that regenerate when he kills other players. This is as cool as it sounds, and jumping around like the Hulk is pretty damned fun, especially since he doesn't take fall damage, but on the other side, he also doesn't build or use launch pads or weapons. Guess that kind of paltry human stuff isn't good enough for him. He does have super jump that you can roll into a monster punch, which destroys entire buildings via an AOE attack though. Also awesome.
There are complete patch notes with all the Thanos details here, and although there isn't a hard date on when Thanos is getting pulled back out of the game, the notes insist it's only for "a limited time". Check out the launch announcement trailer below.
