After the (pretty much) well-received Mad Max game, I figured that a sequel to Rage would be dead in the water, but for the first time ever, it looks like I am wrong.
It looks like Rage 2 is aiming to be to Mad Max what Saints Row is to GTA: a very similar game, but one that is a more outlandish version in almost every way. Give the trailer a watch below (I'm sure there will be more info at the upcoming E3) and see what I mean; everything from the soundtrack to the style of outfits and cars looks to out-crazy Mad Max, which has got to be hard to pull off, seeing as how Mad Max featured hairless, mutated freaks spraying silver paint into their mouths and leaping to their deaths. Pretty sure I even saw a giant ogre in the background towards the end of the trailer, which is as awesome as it is nonsensical. Here's the official blurb from Bethesda, expect a lot more info in the coming weeks.
"Dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order. Rage 2 brings together a true open world FPS experience where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything."
No release date has been set, but Rage 2 will be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
