Vampyr is one of my more highly anticipated titles this year, and the game has just gone gold, meaning that short of an act of god, this bad Larry is gonna launch right on schedule, Tuesday June 5th.

Set in early 20th century Britain during a brutal outbreak of the lethal Spanish flu, the streets of London are looking a little lean, as they ravaged by disease, violence, and fear. In a completely disorganized and ghostly city, only fools, the unlucky or the desperate walk the streets, and when they do, they find themselves in prime position to fall victim to Britain’s most elusive and deadly predators, the undead freaks known as vampires. As a doctor recently turned into a vampire (there's a lot of school wasted), you must try to understand your affliction while harnessing your new vampiric powers and snacking your way through London. Have fun trying to keep your hippocratic oath in this nightmare scenario!

Dontnod entertainment has released a list of Vampyr's trophies, and there are 20 total, with 6 bronze, 17 silver, 5 gold and one single baller platinum trophy. Here's what you will be chasing

  • Time is on My Side – Earn all trophies
  • From Here to Eternity – Go to the Shelter and rest…
  • At Dawn We Row – Take a ride with Doctor Swansea

Dontnod is really pushing their "consequences" angle, which they've repeatedly stated is a huge part of the game- basically, you should care about who you do and don't kill. To make players really deal with their choices, you'll only be allowed one save slot, so if you mess up, there are no do-overs. This also means you will have to play through more than once if you want to snag every trophy. Or, you can probably just go all Legacy of Kain and suck everyone's blood you see. Up to you!
