Most people are wondering how the Marvel universe will continue to function before Avengers 4 releases, obviously due to the events at the end of Infinity War. It sounds like most solo hero films will have to mess around with timelines, since only some heroes can continue to operate the same way the did pre Infinity War. You see how hard I'm trying not to spoil anything? You're welcome.
It looks like Ant-Man and the Wasp has sorted everything out for their upcoming film, setting the Ant-Man sequel just after Captain America: Civil War, and a good while before Avengers: Infinity War. At this point in the marvel timeline, Thanos is still just some purple asshole looking for glowing rocks, and our heroes are blissfully unaware of how bad things can get.
This time around, Ant-Man is joined by series companion the Wasp, fighting against Ghost, a villain who has tangled with Iron Man and some of the Avengers in the books. Take a look at the trailer, it appears that the sequel will stick close to the formula of the first film, with a more comedic and family friendly angle to it.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is the 20th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and will be directed by Peyton Reed, with Kevin Feige producing. The film is set for theatrical release on July 6th.
