The new Annual Pass is the big news from Bungie and Activision today, mainly since they are throwing a bundle out there for Forsaken, their new DLC. Here's what you get if you bite on the bundle, but be aware that it isn't all that cheap; right now, the bundle is going for $69.99, although if you get the expansion/pass on their own, you would be saving about $5 bucks.

According to Bungie, gamers will get three “premium content releases” tied to seasonal updates for Destiny 2, and they've released a schedule of what they'll be called and when they'll be available.

Official Schedule:

  • Black Armory, winter 2018
  • Joker’s Wild, spring 2019
  • Penumbra, summer 2019
With these add-ons, gamers will get the usual things you'd expect, like more weapons, new armor and vanity items, along with some extras, like new endgame challenges, new exotics; new pinnacle activities; new Triumph Records and new in-game lore to discover.

Bungie is keeping the big reveals under wraps until E3 next week, but we do have a synopsis for the Forsaken DLC. Check it out below, and watch the trailer below.

"Following years of strife, what remains of the Reef has fallen to lawlessness. You and Cayde-6 are sent to personally investigate the recent unrest. Upon arrival, you soon discover the most-wanted criminals in the Prison of Elders have organized an escape. Beyond the Vanguard’s authority, you’ll pursue these fugitives deep into the Reef. Explore new regions, awaken new powers, earn powerful weapons, and uncover long lost Awoken secrets. The hunt is on."

Forsaken launches Sept. 4 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
