This sounds like what would happen if you mixed Vanilla Sky with Eyes Wide Shut, the just said screw it and added The 9th Gate. Remember that movie? Man that movie sucked. But this may not!
Lust For Darkness is an upcoming psychological horror title mixed with "erotic occult themes," which is always a bit of a red flag for me, since it seems that oftentimes, when developers jam a lot of "erotic" moments into a game, it's mostly for shock value, but this plot is actually intriguing.
The plot centers around a man named Jonathan Moon, who receives a letter from his wife, who has been missing for over a year. The letter implores him to head for a secluded mansion, where a messed up occult ceremony takes place, involving opening gates to a profane, perverse land called Lusst’ghaa. Jonathan will move through both the Victorian mansion and the alien dimension, as he learns that Lusst’ghaa was actually quite similar to earth until the inhabitants "decided to undergo total degeneration at their own wish. Through experiments they transformed their bodies so that they could never cease to experience carnal delights."
So... win?
Obviously, whatever these inhabitants did to themselves wasn't the best idea, or I assume that the letter from Jonathan's wife would have read something like, "Yo, Johnny! Everyone is shacking up over here on bang-world. You gotta come get in on this." But since the letter presumably didn't say that, I'm guessing that you'll end up trying to save your wife, who is most likely some kind of half cthulu by now.
Promising an intriguing plot with erotic and occult themes and a perverse land inspired with Lovecraft's works and paintings of Zdzisław Beksiński, check out the trailer below and keep an eye out for the Steam release on June 12th.
