Treyarch is back in the saddle after the series went to space in the previous title, much to almost everyone's disappointment. With Treyarch back, you know what that means; new Black Ops. This trailer shows off what is in store for you in the latest twitchy shoot-em up, as far as shooting many, many of your friends.
The big news was that instead of the customary single player campaign, there will be a battle royale mode that has been so wildly popular since PUBG came along and blew everyone's nips off with their stuttery, laggy goodness. We were a little pissed about this, but we've calmed down some. After all, it would be nice to play a PUBG type arena battle that didn't have so many issues, but we are still bummed it has to come at the expense of a single player campaign.
Another new aspect of multiplayer is the availability of health packs, giving you the ability to heal yourself on the fly. They take a second to activate however, so you've gotta pick your spots, or you'll end up with a bullet in your chest instead of a life giving med pack. Speaking of multiplayer, Activision and Treyarch already announced that there will be zombies, but everyone expected that already; that mode is too much fun to not include, and by now, it's a series staple. There will be five new zombie modes, and you'll be able to custom make games to tweak gameplay in the zombie mode, but we'll have to wait to get more details on that until E3 has settled down.
Watch the trailer below to get an idea of how the gameplay will feel, but you really don't need to; think of every other Black Ops title, and you'll pretty much be there.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will release on October 12th, 2018.
