Behaviour Digital just launched two major releases for Deathgarden, their asymmetrical multiplayer action game where you control an overpowered Hunter attempting to track down and execute five Runners. Their next phase of live-testing starts today, with a closed beta launching for one week on Steam. Following the closed beta, Deathgarden will move on to ye 'ol Steam Early Access in August.
There's new content for the closed beta, and players are invited to the Garden from June 19 at 3pm ET – June 26 at 9am ET, where they'll be able to choose between a Hunter or a Runner to help test the servers and game balance. New players can request a beta key by registering at deathgardengame.com, and if you participated in the closed alpha, you are guaranteed beta access.
The development team are using the data collected during the alpha to improve the core gameplay and balancing. Players can expect the following new content in the beta:
- New weather (daytime)
- Improved party system
- 3 new Runner powers
- 2 new Runner perks
- 1 new Hunter weapon
- 1 new Hunter power
- 2 new Hunter perks
