Circle Empires was more of a lark than a full fledged title when it launched, but since then, it has gone from a demo (albeit one that has been downloaded by over 150,000 gamers), to a major RTS, and now it's been revamped and overhauled with a good amount of new features, art and options. The finished product will be available this August.
Mihkel Trei, the lead developer at Luminous had this to say about the game:
"We worked on the Circle Empires demo for many years and we're pleased to now have a final product in our hands. Folks who played the demo can expect a greatly improved experience with a lot more content. Love from thousands of Youtubers during the development (who only played the demo, without having the faintest idea Luminous was making it into a full-sized RTS) actively inspired us to stay focused on bringing the game to a new level of experience."
The Circle Empires universe is made up of interconnected circles, each containing loot to grab and enemies to kill. You take on the role of a god-like leader, responsible for your little kingdom as you attempt to rise in power and standing. You'll have to hunt down increasingly powerful foes and expand your territory, but the game world changes every time you play, so no two games will be the same.
