Burnout is a pretty well-renowned racing game, and if you've been a fan throughout the years, you've had a gang of options, able to get your racing fix on PlayStation 2, 3, Xbox, Nintendo DS, PSP and Xbox 360, in addition to the devs releasing a Windows version of Burnout Paradise. This high-speed series was designed and developed by Criterion Games, but these latest two are from the studio founded by former Burnout creators Fiona Sperry and Alex Ward, called Three Fields, and they have just revealed that they are going to launch two new games: Dangerous Driving and Danger Zone 2 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Danger Zone 2 is the newly announced sequel to (duh) Danger Zone, and not only will it be better and bigger, it will take you out of the crash test factory and back onto the streets. Designed by using advanced physics and built using the unreal engine, players will get 8 different types of vehicles, from trucks to baller-ass high-end sedans. According to a recent press release, “Danger Zone 2 is a significant step up from the first game with lots more driving including drifting and boosting, a variety of objectives, brand new vehicles and even more spectacular crashes.” The sequel promises 26 single-player levels and 17 locations set in locations in the U.S., U.K. and Spain and will be available in July, for $19.99.
Dangerous Driving is the second recently announced game, and it's basically the spiritual successor to the Burnout series. Dangerous Driving is a closed track, competitive, high speed racer, arriving in the winter of 2018. According to Three Fields, the game will feature “boosts, takedowns, destruction and the biggest car crashes seen in a racing game to date,” which sounds like car-carnage at its finest.
