Free games... how I love you. I love how I don't need to shop for you. I love how little you cost. I like how, if I check my wallet, then click "download" and check my wallet again, the amount of money inside stays the same. It's a great feeling and I can say with the utmost certainty that I will never, ever get tired of it.
With that said, lets get in there. The free Xbox Games With Gold titles for July 2018 are as follows, via this Microsoft announcement:
First up for Xbox One is Assault Android Cactus, an oddly named twin stick shoot 'em up developed and published by Witch Beam, and although it arrived on PC in 2015, it was released on Xbox One in November 2017.
The second Xbox One title is Death Squared, a co-op puzzler from SMG Studios, which can be yours for the low price of free from July 16 through Aug. 15.
For the Xbox 360, we get Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown (free from July 1-15) and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, which is a ton of fun to play. Splinter Cell: Conviction will be available from the 15th till the end of the month. Both games are playable on Xbox One via backward compatibility.
You've still got a couple of days to grab up the games for June, but time is running out. Get yours. In the meantime? I'll get mine.
