Dragon Quest 11 is coming in hot with a new trailer, and the devs were even nice enough to give us a release date for the long awaited JRPG on PS4. This standalone title in the long running series features a 16 year old hero and his homies as they try to save the Great Tree of Life. The game is set in the fantasy world of Lotozetasia, where the hero has just turned 16, and, as is customary in the village, he participates in a coming-of-age tradition, where he must climb a mountain called God's Rock, where it's said the spirits of the earth dwell. Once he succeeds, he finds out that he's actually the reincarnation of a hero who saved the world, and now he's gotta overcome the forces of evil, fight and kill a million baddies and save the world all over again.
Happy Birthday pal!
Check the out trailer below, which show off some of the characters, locations and even a bit of gameplay. As far as JRPGs go, this is a big one, so if you've been waiting for some turn based excitement, this is going to be the game for you.
Dragon Age XI releases on PS4 on 9/4/18, and it will be the the first time the game has released on a major console in the West in over a decade.
