We've been covering some Dark Souls mods lately, and they just keep getting better and better. We covered the darkened mod and this amazing lego mod in the last couple weeks, both of which were pretty great, but this one, reported by PC gamer and created by Datehacks definitely takes the cake.
When I originally played through DS, I don't think that I had a bigger hassle with a boss than I did with Ornstein and Smough. They were a one two combo of flat-out kicking my ass, and those bastards had me rage quit more times than I can remember. Thanks to Datehacks, you can make your enemies feel the pain just like you did, and you can bring it to big-time haters, like the Asylum Demon and the Capra Demon, which brings death to them and glee to my dark heart.
The mod is a work in progress, and in addition to allowing you to play as Executioner Smough, you can also throw down with Gwyn, Artorias(!!!) and even the Sanctuary Guardian, with more bosses to come as work progresses.
Watch the video below, and tell me it doesn't look amazing.
Dark Souls Remastered is out now for the Xbox One and PS4, with a Switch release anticipated this summer at an undisclosed time.
