We enjoyed Far Cry 5 quite a bit, despite an off-kilter and somewhat lackluster story (see our review here), so we are definitely down to check out this upcoming DLC, which honestly sounds interesting as hell. Called "Lost On Mars" the DLC will arrive on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on July 17 for $10, or it comes automatically with the $30 season pass. If you couldn't tell from the name of the DLC, you will not be resuming your adventures in Montana.
Lost on Mars instead will follow Hurk and Nick Rye on an expedition to Mars, because Martians are about to bring some interstellar hatred to Earth, and we can't have that. You'll be outfitted with all new gear and guns, like the Morphinator and the Blaster of Disaster, which sounds like a big ol middle finger coming out the barrel of a gun, in addition to space jets, which you can use to zoom around the planet. There are all kinds of galactic baddies out there, some of which look like evil extras from Starship Troopers. If that isn't good enough, you can bring all that goodness back to Montana, and you can also make your own science fiction style maps in Far Cry arcade.
You'll have roughly a month to get your fill of Mars, because the already announced follow up (and presumably final) DLC seems to be jumping on the zombie bandwagon with Dead Living Zombies.
Check out the trailer below for a sneak peak at all the DLC you are potentially missing out on.
