Kingdom Hearts is famous for their mash-ups, bringing characters from a ton of different films, games and properties together. I never thought I would see Donald Duck fighting anyone but the chipmunks (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you've missed the greatest Christmas special ever), and this newest crossover is no different, this time ditching straight up Disney for Pixar characters (yes, I know it's basically the same thing).
If you haven't seen it, the story of Coco follows a 12-year-old boy named Miguel who is accidentally transported to the Land of the Dead, where he seeks the help of his deceased musician great-great-grandfather to return him to his family among the living. It was a pretty big hit last year. The mobile version of Kingdom Hearts is now offering up some Coco based goodies in this new collaboration event based on the hit Disney Pixar film, Coco. Starting today through July 31, 2018, players can get a a variety of in-game events all based on the Pixar film.
There are new multiplayer quests with special Coco rewards, with players able to earn new Medals featuring Miguel and Héctor by completing said quests. Players can also get their hands on Miguel Medals by completing special quests, in addition to Miguel & Dante Medals which you can get your hands on by purchasing the Weekly Jewels Extravaganza bundle. So, basically, you can buy them.
All this kind of depends on how much you like Coco, and how into medals you are. Of the tie-ins thus far, this is pretty "kiddy" but then again, you're playing a mobile game with Disney characters, so you most likely already know what you're in for.
