Survival horror has been to space, alternate dimensions, haunted carnivals and sprawling mansions, but Narcosis plunges you to the depths of the ocean in a "walking coffin" of a dive suit inhabited by a soon to be extremely stressed out diver named Kip Matta. Kip is the poorly named, lone survivor of the "Oceanova Disaster," which was an earthquake that killed 20 people while they were working on a deep sea methane hydrate drilling rig. With everyone dead except Kip, he now has to try to keep his cool while also keeping his suit full of oxygen and he fights to get his ass to the surface.
Narcosis sounds like it will work best with VR, as you'll be lumbering around in the cumbersome suit, in the mostly pitch black depths of the ocean. You've only got a few tools and a limited amount of sanity, which runs out the lower your oxygen gets and the crazier things go. This game has gotten great reviews on PC, and the console version should be no different, provided you are using VR. Take a look at the trailer and features below, and keep an eye out for the PS4 launch on July 24th.
