We've got the new Call Of Duty: Black Opos IV zombies trailer, and it is a rather odd, time-traveling affair, with some Uncharted/Tomb Raider style plot devices thrown in. I suppose at this point in the series, they might as well throw the kitchen sink at it. When all the story stuff is said and done, it's still you and some buddies shooting everything you can find, so why not go nuts?
The story surrounds Scarlett Rhodes, a woman who is out to solve her eccentric father’s mysterious disappearance. You quickly realize that Daddy was into some serious shit, and by that, I mean satanic black magic and mutating devil clouds, from the looks of it. With the help of three loyal outcasts, she’ll fight waves of the undead and uncover a prized relic that possesses an extraordinary power, which, of course, threatens all of humanity. Also, at some point they all end up in a friggin gladiator arena, shooting machine guns and armored warriors back in Roman times, because why not?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is going big on their day one release of Zombies, offering "three full experiences": IX, Voyage of Despair, and Blood of the Dead, and if you happen to be at Comic Con in SD this week, you can go listen to the details at the Call of Duty: Black Ops IV Zombies Panel, because comics have nothing to do with an event called Comic Con anymore.
Still, if you are the kind of person who correctly guessed that you would go to a comic book festival to check out videogames that aren't based on comics, here's when you can do it:
When: Thursday, July 19 at 1:00pm-2:00pm, Room #6BCF
