We had a lot of fun with Redeemer last year, despite some repetitive levels and enemies. Now, the devs have added added local co-op, two new character classes (monk and soldier), and some tweaks, level changes and balancing for a console release, dropping on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch in August 2018.
Redeemer: Enhanced Edition is a brawler where you punch, stab and shoot your way through waves and waves of enemies using fists, hammers, firearms, and the environment itself.
Vasily, a once elite operative working for the biggest cybernetic weapon manufacturer in the world decides he wants to quit after the corporation wants to turn him into one of its cyborg soldiers. He heads to a secluded monastery to cool out for the rest of his life, trying to find peace and harmony among fellow monks for 20 years until the corporation eventually finds him and closes in on Vasily's location. He has to G up, and whip the entire corporation's ass and forget all the monk training he has, while remembering how to kick wholesale ass.
The Redeemer: Enhanced Edition announcement trailer reveals the origin story of Vasily, the brutal monk protagonist as well as some game combat mechanics featured in the Enhanced Edition features.
Redeemer: Enhanced Edition is $19.99 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and $24.99 on Switch.
