Good Shepherd Entertainment has finally launched Semblance, the new, puzzle platformer from Nyamakop. They've got an interesting spin going on the genre, where you can "deform" almost everything around you, making the game not only a platformer, but a world deconstructing puzzle in itself.
You are a soft, bouncy... uh, thing, who can bump, smash and mush the levels to your liking, allowing you to make jumps, move ramps and so on. Squish, squash, mold and deform in strange ways to solve problems, grab hard-to-reach collectibles and heal the land from an infestation of dreaded hard material. Semblance lets you move between challenges at your pace, and there's a story on top of the puzzling, so you have a reason to sqish and mush.
The game has already won multiple honors at gaming shows during its development, mainly for its unique design and aesthetics, and you can see why in the trailer; the game has beautiful colors, a cool, unique minimalist art-style and a soothing soundtrack.
Semblance is available today for $9.99 on Nintendo Switch, as well as PC and Mac, with the ususal 10% launch discount on all platforms from now through July 31.
