Sold Out has partnered with White Paper Games to release a physical version of their real-time investigative thriller called The Occupation on PS4 and Xbox One, with Switch owners getting screwed as usual. Sorry, Switch owners.
In The Occupation, an explosion has triggered a controversial act which threatens the civil liberties of the British population to be rushed into place, much like the Patriot Act here in the US. You are tasked with investigating and questioning people on their actions on the infamous night that resulted in so many deaths, using the tools at your disposal to influence characters’ actions and behaviors as you search for clues, tics and most of all, results. The game puts you a position where you can take the most "direct" route, playing loose and fast with your investigations, or you can be more careful but lose time, which is fleeting. Events happen in real-time and you have to make quick decisions based on the evidence you've gathered.
Take a look at the trailer below to see how this will play out, and check out their website here.
Not only is the game being released for consoles, it will also be available digitally, published by Humble Bundle, on PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Steam all on October 9, 2018.
