Playstation Plus just released their games for the month of August, and as usual, it's a mixed bag. Mafia III from 2K Games and Hangar 13 is the big one, and although it wasn't amazing, it wasn't too bad either, and I actually had a lot of fun with it.
Set within the fictional city of New Bourdeaux, Mafia III follows the story of Lincoln Clay, a criminal who aims to build a new crime organization while seeking revenge on the Italian mob. The open world allows players to freely roam New Bourdeaux's open landscape, and it's played from a third person perspective, with most missions involving robbing, shooting and driving.
Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight is also free, a 4v1 multiplayer game where one player assumes the role of a sadistic killer, while four others play as survivors trying to escape the killer’s rampage.
PlayStation 3 owners get the RPG Bound by Flame and the wave based shooter Serious Sam 3: BFE. If you've got a PlayStation Vita owners can download touchscreen-controlled action game Draw Slasher and the Warhammer 40,000 classic Space Hulk in August as part of their PS Plus subscription.
