Aftercharge has been on our radar for a while, mainly because at the office, we have too few ways to take out our aggression on each other, especially Becky, who has just been the worst lately.
The absolute worst.
Aftercharge is an online, team-based FPS developed and published by Chainsawesome Games, and it looks like an all out brawl. Players choose between two teams of three, pitting invisible robots against an invincible security squad in tactical skirmishes. The attackers take on the role of the robots, who have to work together to destroy the energy extractors located on the map, which are guarded by the security bots.
The attackers coordinate their attacks, create distractions and sneak around to destroy the extractors, while the enforcers have to cover as much ground as possible and use their abilities to spot the attackers and stop them before they can complete their mission. Players choose one of the several characters, each with their own unique abilities and roles, and the whole thing looks like fast paced blast.
The Aftercharge beta is out now on Steam, and the game will release in earnest this summer on macOS, Linux, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
