Time to get your cheap game on! It's that time of the month again, as of August 1st, your Xbox game pass will get you the whole first season of Hitman, which is doing a reboot of the original in episodes for some reason. Why are we "rebooting" videogames, anyways? Is there no creativity left in the world? To top it off, Hitman 2, which is launching this November, bails on the episode format, just to keep you nice and confused!
You'll also be able to get your hands on Ruiner, a fast paced action shooter set in the year 2091, in a cyber metropolis called Rengkok, where a wired psychopath is fighting to rescue his kidnapped brother, using a "delicate balance of overwhelming, brute force, and elegant strikes to overcome all manner of savage opponents," which sounds awesome.
There's also Ryse: Son of Rome, which was was a title that launched with the Xbox One, and was a pretty big disappointment, due to lackluster combat and no real character or combat progression. The Escapists: Walking Dead brings the horrific zombie apocalypse to your screen in a cutesy, pixelated way, while Dandara will give you some anti-grav style Metroidvania gameplay.
On the 360, there's more zombie slaying with Dead Rising 2, and if you want to pretend that the Kinect is still cool, there's Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure.
All of this goodness is available now on the Xbox gamepass.
