God of War has been out for almost four months, and a new game plus mode is going to arrive on August 20th. The new feature will arrive as a free patch, but you'll need to have finished the story mode first to play it (obviously).
If you somehow don't know, God of War is an action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio, which continues the adventures of the God of War, named Kratos, in a brand new adventure that is the 8th title in the series. Unlike previous games in the series, the newest title is based loosely on Norse mythology instead of Greek, which opened things up for more gods, adventures and settings. We loved the game, and you can check out our review here.
The new game plus mode plays out as you would expect, with all your enchantments, talismans, abilities and weapons carrying over into your new game, and you can set your own difficulty, so there isn't an inherent difficulty to the new game plus mode. You'll also get some new features, like some customization options to upgrade your gear, and a new rarity level for upgrading your goodness.
