Destiny 2: Forsaken The Dreaming City the Reef has fallen to lawlessness, with the most-wanted criminals in the galaxy, the Barons & Uldren Sov, organizing a jailbreak at the Prison of Elders, which is not going to be good for anyone. You and Cayde-6 have been sent in to bring law and order back to the facility, but, as usual, things do not go as you planned, and Cayde-6 ends up "paying the ultimate price," which is a stupid phrase that really should be retired, but I digress. Beyond the Vanguard’s authority, you’ll need to venture into the Reef solo and deal out the pain.
The video intro describes the expansion in a pretty straight forward way, and I'm eager to see what they mean by "largest endgame experience ever". “Discover the Dreaming City, Destiny’s largest endgame experience ever. Unearth long-lost mysteries, solve ancient riddles and fight back against the corruption that plagues the tower’s halls. Test your mettle in The Blind Well to claim powerful treasures, but be warned, a terrible evil lies,”
Destiny 2: Forsaken The Dreaming City will have you exploring new regions, using new powers (nine new supers), weapons, items and more. There's two new destinations, the Tangled Shore and the Dreaming City, and a brand new raid, plus a new 4v4 competetive PvE mode, called Gambit. If you pre-order, you'll get Cayde's exotic stash, the ace of spades last hand exotic ornament and the queen of hearts exotic ship.
Destiny 2 is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and the Forsaken expansion will release on September 4.
