We should be getting some honest to god gameplay footage soon (as in, maybe today) but for now, check out this rad intro/teaser trailer for id's upcoming Doom sequel.
Called Doom Eternal, the studio has promised a stronger protagonist and a bunch more demon types to tear through (twice as many), and demons will also be somewhat destructible, so you'll be able to blow parts of them off, including armor wearing demons shedding their protection as you shoot through it.
As far as the teaser is concerned, it looks like the demons have finally made it to earth, and kinda tore the hell out of it. In fact, it looks like a portal or something has opened up on earth, or some sort of melding of realities, because it definitely looks like the demons not only tore things up pretty good, but they actually brought hell to earth. The weather looks, well, kind of "flamey" and the amount of lava on the ground doesn't really make sense when you consider the skyscrapers, highway overpasses and the amount of rebar that are right there. In short, you wouldn't think that a metropolis would be built right next to an active volcano, so I would bet there is something more going on then just, "demons found a way to get here" and call it good.
Give the teaser a watch, it really is a good piece of cinema. Stay tuned for an announcement today or Monday, and know this: Doom Eternal will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
