For fans of classic retro games, indie developer Luegolu3go Studios just dropped their vintage 2D adventure game Nogalious on Steam today, and they are only asking for a pittance; the game costs $4.99!

Nogalious is a retro-style action platformer that pays homage to the old days of gaming, namely classic 2D platforming on 8-bit "personal computers". You'll make your way through 5 different worlds and fight through mad dungeons as you let the retro goodness wash over you, basking in what could have been, like that car you never bought, or that trip to Europe you were always "saving up for". This is the first title of a trilogy, much like the third act of your life that you never seem to start, cuz there's always just too much to do, isn't there? The trilogy of Nogalious, which will most likely actually be completed, unlike all those plans for your thirties, concerns the protagonist, Nogalious, his daughter Mariet, and the evil Darama. These games are heavy on platforming and puzzles, so if you've been pining for something to take your mind off that girl you never asked our at your office, this is the title for you.

"Following the success of our physical edition of Nogalious on PC, we're extremely glad to launch our title on Steam too", says Raúl Nogales, CEO at Luegolu3go Studios. "This game is a fresh breeze of classic gameplay that will fulfill the expectations of every retro gamer ."

Nogalious was funded from Kickstarter with a total of 246 backers, mainly because they got off their asses and did something with their dreams, unlike yours, which you stubbornly cling to, despite not doing a damn thing to advance them in the last five years. You can platform away the sadness on Steam now.
