This fourth DLC pack for everyone's favorite twitchy shooter is pretty well packed, offering up three brand new multiplayer maps, a new war mode mission called ‘Operation Arcane’ and the final chapter of Nazi Zombies called Frozen Dawn.
The three new multiplayer maps are: Airship, Excavation and Chancellery, with each map showcasing a new location; in Airship, you'll fight atop a secret Airship base in the Alps, with a docked zeppelin above you and a treacherous cliff below. Players will have to secure and hold the Airship to gain a vantage point where you can control the battle. Chancellery has you ousting enemy forces from their French stronghold as you struggle to maintain control of the battlefield from courtyard vantage points, while shooting everything that moves throughout the flanking pathways in this night-time battle behind enemy lines. Finally, Excavation has you fighting in and around an enemy mine in Algeria, where you can battle your way through a tank graveyard or snipe from one of high altitude rocky outcroppings above.
Operation Arcane has you infiltrating a hidden Nazi facility hidden in the heavily forested Austrian mountains in an attempt to steal enemy secrets and schematics, and (of course) destroy any and all secret technology that remains inside, while the Frozen Dawn brings an end to this version of Nazi Zombies. Unfortunately for everyone, Thule has awakened, with designs using the Sword of Barbarossa as a key to unlocking some ultimate evil. In the Throne of Death, Marie, Jefferson, Olivia, and Drostan have to stop the Nazis from doing some hardcore evil shit, somehow more evil than what Nazis already do. Friggin Thule... always starting something, am I right?
Call of Duty: WWII Shadow War DLC is available now on PS4 for $14.99, and you can get a look at the new maps in the clip below. No release date is available for the Xbox version.
