In Observer, the year is 2084 and you are Daniel Lazarski, a member of a corporate-funded police unit that employs elite, neural detectives known as Observers. Observers use advanced technology to hack and invade suspects' minds in order to gather evidence and in doing so, you must relive their darkest fears, then face your own, as anything you think, feel, or remember can be used against you in a court of law.
The premise is an interesting one, basically taking an Orwellian futuristic setting to the hilt, and there's also an event called the Nanophage which wiped out tons of civilians. If the Nanophage didn't take you down, the ensuing war most likely did, so the cities are grimy and dangerous, and there aren't a lot of hopeful or chipper citizens, just sad, murdery ones. Those who are still alive have turned to drugs, VR, neural implants and anything else they can get their hands on to distract themselves from this new reality.
Leaning heavily on detection and mystery, Observer on the Switch uses all of the system's features including full Joy-Con support, Touchscreen, and the option to play both in docked and in handheld modes. Check out the launch trailer below, Observer releases for Switch this year.
