Any time a freaky child bounces a ball down a dark staircase towards me, I get a little anxious. Some demonic toddler rushing down a flight of stairs in my direction has never had a calming effect on me, and Cracked Heads Games seems to know this, as there are demonic children and bouncy balls aplenty in their new trailer for Silver Chains.
Arriving in spring of 2019 for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, Silver Chains is a first-person horror game with a heavy emphasis on story and exploration. You'll be searching for clues in an old abandoned Victorian manor, trying to unravel the truth about the terrible shit that went down there in the past, while also trying to avoid getting killed by whatever the hell is lurking in the shadows of the sprawling mansion.
According to Cracked Heads Games, the story surrounds a man named Peter, who, after a mysterious accident, wakes up inside the abandoned mansion in rural England. Not knowing how or why he ended up there, he quickly begins to realize that he is not alone, and as he tries to find his way out, he starts to uncover secrets from the past, and hints that he has been in the house before.
Although the game is heavy on exploration, Cracked Heads promises that the second you allow yourself to get lulled into a sense of security, the horrors of the house will hunt you down and make you pay.
