Spider-Man is a big hit with gamers, much to the collective relief of superhero fans everywhere. Sure, we all know that not every new superhero property can be the next Arkham series, but it looks like Spider-Man has really nailed it. The combat is great, the web attacks are varied and fun to use, the world is gorgeous and the movement is fantastic. In short, Insomniac finally delivered the Spider-Man game that everyone has been waiting for, and it shows.

A big part of the fun in these games is tracking down the various suits you can change into. The Arkham series had costumes that ranged from the Adam West suit to the Batman Beyond suit, and fans have been digging around to track down the Web-head's various outfits, finding good stuff like the Spider-Man Noir suit and my personal favorite, the Spider-Man 2099 suit. But one suit that has been mysteriously absent is the black symbiote suit... but now we may have some insight as to why it wasn't included.

Spider-Man game director Bryan Intihar had this to say about the black suit while talking to Kinda Funny games a couple weeks back, and it may just be a tease, or a major clue as to where the plot of the next game will go.

“I think something like that suit (Symbiote suit) deserves its day in the spotlight. I think just making it an unlockable suit wouldn't be doing it justice. It's one of the best stories for Spider-Man. I think it's a complex story. And I think it's a story that needs to be told, and it needs to be told the way Insomniac would tell it."

So, there you have it (maybe). We've got the new Venom film coming our way, so there is definitely a lot of Venom excitement right now. What do you think? Who did you miss villain-wise in the game that you'd like to see in the sequel?
