Death Stranding had a long trailer in 2016, and it didn't really make a lot of sense. There were other trailers to follow, and none of them really made any sense either. If there is one thing Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid) is all about, it's weird, pretentious, confusing plot lines, and this video starring Troy Baker is no different. Do your best to figure out what the hell is going on here.
Death Stranding began development in 2015, almost directly after Kojima and Konami had their little falling-out-that-wasn't-a-falling-out-but-absolutely-was. All we know for sure is that it stars The Walking Dead/ Boondock Saints actor Norman Reedus, and some other semi to well-known actors and actresses like Troy Baker, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner. Otherwise, all we know is what we've gleaned from the trailers, which is basically, sci-fi... weirdness.
Give the video a watch below, I'm not even going to describe it, because I can guarantee that you'd read my description and go, "Wait... what?" and then watch the video anyways and probably be just as confused. You might as well see this yourself with no preamble, but I will say that it kind of looks like a marriage between the tech of The Surge and the gooey monstery weirdness of Dark Souls.
