Blood of the Dead is an upcoming zombies map that will be featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and this trailer is... boy. Give it a watch below, and then I'll continue.
What the hell was that? What is this, the tragic final act of a romance film? Is this supposed to hit me like the ending of Titanic or something? What the hell is going on with that song? And all the anguished shots of your hero raging at the sky, all "Damn dirty ZOOOMBIIIIEEESSS!" Dramatic much?
Tell you what, mute that video, then put on any song from Metallica's Kill 'Em All, and watch the video again. Badass, right? Who the hell chose the song for this trailer? Especially since this is a re-imagined version of the fan-favorite map "Mob of the Dead" from Call of Duty: Black Ops II, (although it is an expanded and adds several playable areas within the map that weren't there before), wouldn't this be a million times better with some metal playing over it? I mean, you see your old favorite map, where you spent dozens of hours blowing zombie head's into wet paste, and you get pumped up by listening to this weepy nonsense? Nice move, COD.
In addition to crybaby music, the trailer also features the 'Primis" crew - the Origins versions of Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, and Edward Richtofen, four playable characters who replace Albert "Weasel" Arlington, Finn O'Leary, Salvatore "Sal" DeLuca, and Billy Handsome.
Watch that trailer again, turn some different music on, and boom. Now the game looks good again. You're welcome.
