Card Sharks Get Ready; The 2018 GWENT Open Is Happening This Weekend

The October 2018 GWENT Open is going on this weekend, and we got all the info on the hottest card tournament in the world (that is based on a card game inside of a pre-existing videogame).

If you are unfamiliar, the GWENT Masters is the official esports series of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. What does that mean? Well, it means that players compete for the title of GWENT World Champion, not to mention big, stinking slices of cheddar in the form of tournament prize pools and Crown Points. There are three tiers of official GWENT Masters events: Open, Challenger, and the grand finale World Masters tournament. 


This weekend, October 13th and 14th, eight upper echelon, top-tier type GWENT players will compete for the lion's share of $25.000, Crown Points and a guaranteed spot in the next GWENT Challenger, which is the last tournament before the grand finale, where it's all money. GWENT Open #7 will begin on Saturday, October 13th at 4:00 PM CEST, with the semifinals and finals on Sunday, October 14th. The event will be live-streamed if you want to watch the action, it'll be on the official CD Projekt Red channel. If you tune in, you can earn in-game rewards for GWENT via the Twitch Drops feature, like Card Kegs, the winner's favorite card, and more.
