With all the Resident Evil 2 remake/remaster/reboot/redo nonsense going on right now (I say "nonsense" but I am going to be a squealing little girl on launch day), it's just a matter of time until the inevitable reboots come flooding in. Super Mario Brothers HD! NFL Blitz remake! Contra reboot (seriously, do a Contra reboot though). For now, we've just got fresh access to a series that could actually do with a touch up; Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3.

Now, sure, MGS 2 was, well, not as good as the first game, but that's a hard feat to pull off, and probably damn near impossible. Kind of like Dark Souls 2, it went for a more meta sort of angle, and although the gameplay was awesome as usual, the story was not, with all of the nuclear holocaust alarmist ranting in full effect, plus there was a boss who was a mad bomber on roller blades, and Solid Snake wasn't even in the damn thing, instead being relegated to a cameo and being called "David", which was dumb, and no one liked.

MGS 3: Snake Eater on the other hand, was totally and completely badass. Konami introduced some new mechanics, like a camo system and a survival mechanic where you had to catch and eat food, the story was rip-shit, and the bosses were amazing. MGS 3 might just be the best game in the series, and if it isn't, it's in the top two for sure.

Right now, you can play the HD remaster on your Xbox one, but keep in mind that this bad boy is still running at 720p. The titles looks identical to the Xbox 360 versions, but with the upgraded hardware of the Xbox One, you should be able to get a smoother experience overall.  You can pick up both games as a bundle on the Xbox marketplace for  $20.

I suggest that you do this now.
