This guy just can't stop dying. He lives to die. You give him a role, he'll do a great job dying in it. Now it's time to (presumably) die again, this time in a video game.
Not to say this is his first video game death. No, Sean Bean has died in the Game Of Thrones games, Goldeneye, Lord of the Rings, and more. This guy dies like most people drink a cup of coffee. Now, he's set to die in Hitman 2.
Sean Bean is getting his voice and likeness plugged into the first Elusive Target mission for Hitman 2. Bean will take on the role of Mark Faba, a former MI5 agent turned freelance assassin, and comically, he is known in-game as "The Undying," as Faba's known as a master of faking his own death, ultimately causing the International Contract Agency (ICA) to put a fat ass bounty on his head.
Here's what Bean had to say about his upcoming death: "I'm thrilled to be a part of the upcoming HITMAN 2 video game," said Bean. "It's always exciting to take on a new role, and I'm looking forward to everyone seeing my character in action when the mission launches."
In this new live-action trailer, Mark Faba, played by Sean Bean, is speaking to his silent therapist and talks about how he is constantly avoiding hits that are put out on him. As he talks, he looks around the room, noting many random items that could serve as useful weapons. The video closes with a familiar character emerging, who has been watching the entire time, and that man, of course, is Agent 47. The interactive trailer asks viewers to vote on three different items referenced throughout the video, which will unlock an exclusive HITMAN 2 weapon later in the campaign. Kind of a cool campaign.
Hitman 2 will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 13, 2018.
