This one has been on my radar for a while, and the more I see, the more excited I get. A "tactical adventure game", Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is like a cross between XCOM-like turn-based combat with real-time stealth and exploration. This new video shows off some new gameplay, and some pretty cool behind the scenes stuff from the developers.
The game's story puts players on a journey across a post-human Sweden where anthropomorphic animals scramble to survive in the remains of human civilization. You can play as a talking duck, a girl who can partly turn partly to stone, and other anthropomorphic animals who wield crossbows, shotguns and more. Throughout the game, players can seamlessly jump between real-time exploration and tactical combat. The game is still two months away, but MYZ has already been collecting awards at some of the recent gaming expos.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden lands on PC, Xbox and PS4 on December 4th of this year.
