Entertainment America Inc just dropped some new info regarding the DLC for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, called The Lair of the Lost Lord. These names are getting entirely too long, but what can you do? The DLC will be available this Winter for gamers who bought the Ni no Kuni II season pass or, as usual, you can buy it on its own for a slightly higher price.
The Lair of the Lost Lord DLC gives you a new labyrinth dungeon in the Rubby Ruins to smash through, plus a Material Method system that introduces a new fighting style to the game's combat, and the usual new weapons and quests, which are supposed to round out some of the backstories of the main characters.
As far as the Labyrinth goes, the new dungeon in the Rubby Ruins is ruled by the Prince of Wraiths who is pretty sure that a good time would be destroying Evermore, Evan's newly created kingdom. Evan and his friends are like, "Man, we just got this kingdom off the ground, and now you're trying to level it? Naw. Just... naw." Him and his friends unsurprisingly decide to step to this dungeon, and hard, to make a move on the Prince of Wraiths and stop his evil BS once and for all.
The new Material Method system "enhances the player's battle style", and while we don't know much about it yet, we do know that it's obtained from memories of the people Evan meets through his journey, while more than 80 new weapons and armor will be added into the game to help you kick ass.
There is no release date at the moment, but we'll let you know when we get one.
