I am loving the hell out of the idea of this DLC, mainly because it is so far away from the themes and setting of the original game. Taking a science fiction game set in space and then slapping a cowboy hat on it sounds just ridiculous enough to be totally awesome.
In this new DLC from the Surge, a Souls-esque, hardcore action RPG, you'll be fighting against a mad scientist, Dr. Rischboter, with new unique weapons, armor sets, and more (of course).
You'll be entering the depths of the CREO facility and exploring an old and abandoned Quality Assurance lab designed to push CREO's tech as far as it can go. You'll have to fight through Dr. Rischboter's deadly test chambers that he's oddly designed as a wild west TV show! I guess that explains the whole "mad scientist" thing.
You'll fight through the mad doctor's training rooms while modifying yourself for increased rewards by combining up to 4 of the 16 available upgrades. At the end of each stage, you'll have to fight against Challengers, who are powerful opponents forged from the training scenarios, equipped with 30 new equipment pieces, from armors and weapons to implants that you can rip off and use yourself, Mega Man style.
The Good, the Bad and the Augmented drops October 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
