Boy, the state of the industry these days... so, Capcom just did us a big favor, and let us know that we will be getting the original costumes for the upcoming RE2 remake for "free". Oh, thank you so much! Free costumes? What did we ever do to deserve free costumes for your upcoming remake of a twenty year old game? Well, allow me to bow and scrape. Thank you, oh Capcom, for recycling a twenty year old game and gifting us with the original costumes that came in said game. What the hell else were they going to do? Charge us for the stock costumes from two decades ago? Actually, it is kind of surprising that they aren't, especially when 20,000 idiots with too much money are probably just dying to fork over $10 a piece or whatever for costumes that are TWENTY YEARS OLD!
Mike Lunn, brand manager for Capcom had the following to say about the upcoming title:
“It won’t be faithful one to one. For someone that’s played the game, some people played it once and some people played it a thousand times because it’s their favorite game. For the people that have even played it a thousand times, we wanted it to feel fresh. That’s why we don’t call it Resident Evil 2 Remake. It’s a new game built on top of the foundation.”
Resident Evil 2 arrives on January 25th, 2019 and will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Well to be frank they didn't have to give us shit. The writer of this article is a little self entitled millennial prick. Just be thankful we are getting these costumes at all.
