Jak & Daxter Titles Getting A Physical PS4 Release With A Gang Of Bonus Materials

If you missed out on Jak & Daxter, well, then, you missed out. This was back in the day, when 3D action adventure titles were rocking everyone's console, and games like Jak & Daxter, Prince of Persia and Ratchet & Clank were king. Now we're getting a physical release of some Jak & Daxter titles, and if you don't know, this is Naughty Dog before they started leaning into more hardcore titles like The Last Of Us and Uncharted.

Naughty Dog is offering all kinds of goodies to go along with the physical releases, but let's talk games first. The first title in the series, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is up for purchase right now at www.limitedrungames.com in two editions: $24.99 for the Standard Edition and $74.99 for the more elaborate Collector’s Edition, which gets you all this goodness below.



The Standard Edition is limited to 5,000 copies, while the Collector’s Edition is limited to 2,500 copies, so if you're into it, make a move soon, as Naughty Dog claims they won't report any extras. However, I've never seen a company turn down money, so we'll see about that. If you miss this first batch, a second batch will be available at 3PM PST/ 6PM EST, with 2,500 copies of the Standard Edition and 1,250 copies of the Collector’s Edition sold in each batch. 


The Collector’s Edition will include decorative metal Orb, a USB drive shaped like a memory card, trading card pack, exclusive poster, and a CD soundtrack, plus never-before-seen "historical documents" to include in each of the Collector’s Editions. For each game, we will be producing a hardback foil-stamped book containing images from Naughty Dog’s original Jak and Daxter production binders, and if you purchase all 4 games you'll get a mock case for Jak & Daxter 4, which is both cool and sad. 

Get yours if you're into it, these games always were a lot of fun, and Daxter might be the best side-kick outside of Robin.
