I still can't believe that Rage 2 is even a thing. Maybe I'm a dick, but I seem to remember that Rage was a pretty mediocre game from about ten years ago, a failed experiment that was kind of brushed off. Maybe I'm wrong, but either way, much like Fallout 76, when Rage 2 pre-orders went up last night, Steam got no love, as it is only being released on the Bethesda.net Store
.
You can pre-purchase Rage 2 for $60 smacks or you can pony up extra for the Deluxe edition, which comes with am extra mission, a Doom BFG, a ‘progress booster,’ and some ‘Wasteland Wizard cheat codes,’ plus a future campaign expansion called Rise of the Ghosts.
Rage 2 is the upcoming first-person shooter developed by Avalanche Studios in conjunction with id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks (talk about a trifecta of power) The game is the sequel to Rage, published in 2010, where players assume control of a named ranger Walker, and players are free to explore the game's post-apocalyptic open world. The game takes place 30 years after the original game, and will feature a cast of both new and old characters.
