Worbital looks a bit like Planets Under Attack, a fun little strategy game from 2012 that I got hooked on hard back in the day. Worbital is a strategy title that features up to 4 players in either online or local battles that span full star systems. Instead of just a standard fleet, players control an entire planet, with the ability to customize the planet's surface to lob projectiles, launch missiles, blast enemies with lasers and more across the depths of space.
You can exploit ever shifting gravity by maneuvering your shots across space to inflict maximum damage on the enemy, by slinging asteroids, creating black holes, and raining down solar flares to blow up planets, which can sink other planets nearby. Hell, you can even make the sun explode, which, frankly, is badass. Use railguns, lasers, "world rammers", magnets, orbit boosters, shield defenses and more. Pick your loadout and get after it.
The game launches today on Steam for both PC and Mac for twenty bucks, with an Xbox One, PS4, and Switch release planned for later this year.
