To celebrate the upcoming launch, Zen Studios has released an Operencia: The Stolen Sun Story Trailer, which sets the stage for your adventures in the land of Operencia. The game's story is told from the perspective of the very first character your fully customizable hero character will come across – a “completely honest and in no way untrustworthy” rogue companion named Jóska. Operencia: The Stolen Sun is set on embracing "everything you love about classic first-person dungeon-crawlers, enhancing the old-school turn-based RPG experience with modern sensibilities."
You'll gather a team of characters and guide them through a world inspired by Central European mythology, while promising to give you a modern homage to classic first-person dungeon-crawlers of old. An old-school turn-based battle system meets a host of unexplored mythology and fantastical versions of actual historical locations (e.g., Deva Fortress, Bálványos) and characters (e.g., Attila, Seven Chieftains of the Magyars), all coming together to form a cohesive new gaming universe.
Take a look at the trailer below and see how the game is shaping up; this is a homage we are all actually pretty excited about.
