Soon to be released by Headup and Devespresso Games, Vambrace: Cold Soul is a roguelike fantasy adventure that will land on PC and Mac on the 25th of April, with a Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One version following in the third quarter of 2019. The plot deals with The King of Shades, who has cursed the great city of Icenaire. Now under a permanent blight of frost fall, its former residents have returned from the dead as mad Wraiths. Survivors take refuge underground, but are completely outmatched, forced to hide as the evil King raises an army above them, until one day, a mysterious stranger appears in the city with an enchanted vambrace and a willingness to kick some ass.

Vambrace: Cold Soul has been a long time coming - the actual concept is actually 19 years old. Minho Kim, lead artist and CEO of Devespresso Games, often worked on the conjured world of Icenaire to get away from the drudgery of his life, never knowing that he'd be standing here one day with a self-made game in his hands. Most elements of his made up world were loosely connected, while others found more solid form through discussions in Korean online forums, where he shared his art with other high-fantasy enthusiasts. Fast forward 20 years, and the man is making games, with Vambrace: Cold Soul standing as the culmination of his effort. The team is pretty pumped to be making their focus narrative-driven, hand-illustrated games, and as you can see from the trailer below, it seems to be paying off.

Spanning 7 chapters, you'll assemble your party from 5 races and 10 unique classes of recruits, craft items and armor, and deal with permadeath. Take a look at the trailer, and get ready for the game's release later this year.
