No one is very happy about this, least of all those who own a Switch. As of the update (patch v8:10), Fortnite players on Switch and mobile will no longer be included in the same matchmaking groups as those playing on PS4 and Xbox One by default. It looks like the reason for the switch (no pun intended) is that Switch players have been bitching about being at a disadvantage, since the Switch version runs at 30 FPS instead of 60 like it does on PS4 and Xbox One.

Players on the Switch and mobile devices will still be able to play cross-platform, but they'll need to either be in a party already or accept an invite to get in the game. Epic games said that this will basically improve the gaming experience for mobile and Switch players, claiming:

“We expect an on-average better per-game experience for both mobile and Switch players.”

Do you think this will make a big difference? Do you think mobile and Switch players should stop being such babies and learn to accept that since they are playing on inferior tech, they will obviously be at a disadvantage? Let us know in the comments.
