In Niffelheim, your avatar is a brave warrior who has fallen in battle, but unfortunately, instead of finding well-deserved eternal peace in Asgard, his soul is trapped in the harsh world of Niffelheim, which from the sounds of it, totally sucks. Survive in this hostile world, ransack the neighboring lands, explore dangerous dungeons and find your way to Valhalla or spend eternity in purgatory. In life you were never frightened by the cold, darkness and death, and it's exactly those traits that will serve you in the afterlife.
In Niffelheim, you'll be required to crush anyone who dares to attack your lands, and it's a good thing, as each fallen enemy brings you closer to Asgard! Along the way, you'll use bones, teeth, fur to craft and create weapons and armor, build a fortress that will guard you from enemy assaults (you might wanna grab some wood and bricks for that one) and you'll also need to contend with the dickish Death Priests, who will issue ultimatums. It's up to you to decide whether you'll reject their orders or join the fight of their dead minions.
